Kim Pope
Chief Product Officer
Kim leads the strategy and execution of end-to-end product delivery, from on-time fulfillment and client experience to human capital solution excellence, instructor quality, and the development and launch of new products that expand what UI can offer the districts, educators, and students it serves.
A gifted operational strategist and talent solutions leader, Kim brings to UI more than 20 years of experience transforming ambitious workforce strategies into scalable, repeatable, and measurable solutions. She is exceptionally skilled at seeing the intersection between people, process, technology, and client need, and building the infrastructure necessary to turn that vision into sustainable growth. Her ability to create high-performing teams, strengthen service delivery, identify opportunities for innovation, and operationalize complex ideas positions her to play an integral role in UI's continued evolution and expansion.
Kim joined UI following nearly two decades with Wilson, a global total talent solutions leader, where she progressed from Account Director to Chief Operating Officer. Her experience there provides UI with deep expertise in building and scaling sophisticated talent-delivery models. She built and led Agile Sourcing and Shared Service Teams from the ground up across five continents in just 18 months and established an Executive Search platform that grew revenue by 150% during its first 18 months, demonstrating a proven ability not simply to envision new solutions, but to successfully bring them to market and scale them.
Kim is highly proficient in designing the operational infrastructure, technology, processes, and performance disciplines that allow organizations to grow without sacrificing quality or client experience. Those capabilities now bring significant value to UI as the organization strengthens its human capital solutions, product portfolio, fulfillment capabilities, and client delivery model.
Kim is particularly adept at leading organizations through growth and transformation. She played an instrumental role in three private equity investment rounds and the integration of eight acquisitions that expanded Wilson's geographic reach and market intelligence capabilities. During her tenure, Wilson evolved from a pure-play Recruitment Process Outsourcing provider into a total talent solutions company encompassing executive search, Managed Service Provider solutions, consulting services, workforce analytics technology and staffing. Her talent for recognizing adjacent opportunities, building the systems necessary to support them, and bringing diverse capabilities together into cohesive solutions directly supports UI's vision for expanding the ways it can solve complex workforce and instructional challenges for school districts.
Equally important is Kim's ability to pair operational rigor with an unwavering focus on the client experience. Her career reflects a consistent ability to build solutions that are not only scalable and efficient, but responsive to the people and organizations they are designed to serve. At UI, that perspective will help ensure that growth, innovation, instructor quality, fulfillment, and service excellence remain interconnected as the organization continues to expand.
A recognized voice in talent and workforce strategy, Kim is a member of the Forbes Human Resources Council and a contributor to Forbes on employer branding and workforce strategy. She is co-author of Together We Rise & Rising With Courage, written alongside 15 C-level staffing executives, and has been recognized as an SIA 40 Under 40 recipient, an SIA Global Power 150 Women in Staffing honoree, a Tampa Bay Business Journal Businesswoman of the Year nominee, and an HRO Today Global HR Superstar.
Kim holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science, with a minor in Business Administration, from Appalachian State University, where she was a Division I varsity field hockey scholar-athlete. Lastly, and most importantly, Kim is a proud Mom and lives in Tampa, Florida with her family.
