ABOUT US
Our Story
Founded in 1994 in Richmond, Virginia, UI: Unlimited Instruction (previously University Instructors) began as a one-to-one mentoring service connecting students with tutors from local universities. A 1998 partnership with Richmond Public Schools grew into daytime tutoring programs across Virginia — and then across the country, expanding into afterschool and summer programs, educator pipeline development, and human capital and project management.
Today UI employs thousands of educational staff and delivers more than 1 million hours of direct instruction each academic year. In 2026 we became Unlimited Instruction, a name that finally matches the work: a K–12 partner for staffing, tutoring, special education, and managed programs
Our Mission
To expand access to excellent instruction, develop exceptional educators, and help every school unlock unlimited possibilities for student success.
Who We Are
We expand instructional capacity and carry the operational weight that comes with it. Programs range from five instructors to more than 250, and UI manages recruitment, credentialing, training, supervision, scheduling, compliance, and reporting. You get instruction in classrooms and one less system to run.
What We Do
We serve a range of program sizes, providing anywhere from five to over 250 instructors depending on the school or district’s needs. Collectively, our instructors deliver over 1 million hours of direct student support services every academic year for schools and districts across the country.
Who We Service
K–12 districts nationwide — from single campuses to the largest systems in the country — plus charter networks, state education agencies, and regional partners. Statewide approvals and cooperative purchasing agreements let districts contract with us quickly.
Districts come to us with unfilled roles in hard-to-staff areas, achievement gaps that need high-dosage tutoring, summer and afterschool programs they lack capacity to run, or a need to grow teachers from within their own community.
